Hi, I’m Matthew Loveless, and I’m thrilled that you’re considering me to be a part of your special day. My journey as a wedding officiant began in 2014 when I was asked to officiate my brother’s wedding. It wasn’t your typical ceremony—picture me wielding a sledgehammer! But that’s when I realized something: I love performing weddings, and the more unique and unconventional, the better! Since then, I’ve been passionate about creating ceremonies that are as distinctive as the couples I serve.
While I’m open to performing all types of weddings—religious, secular, traditional, or spiritual—what truly excites me is making sure every ceremony is an authentic reflection of the couple. I’m Pagan myself, and I embrace all paths. Whether you want something rooted in tradition or something that celebrates your favorite fandoms (yes, I’m a big geek and love cosplay!), I’m here to ensure your wedding is uniquely yours. I’m committed to bringing your vision to life, without worrying about others imposing their ideas on your ceremony.
When it comes to your big day, my goal is simple: I want you to feel completely at ease. If you’re nervous or dealing with stage fright, I’ve got your back. I know the ceremony is the one part of your day that’s 100% about you, and I’m here to make sure it’s everything you’ve dreamed of, without any added stress. I’ll even take the spotlight when necessary to help calm your nerves, so you can focus on the moment and not worry about performing.
One of the weddings that stands out most to me was when I officiated a Norse Pagan ceremony disguised as a traditional wedding. We blended ancient rituals with modern customs in a way that allowed both the couple's spiritual beliefs and their families to feel included and comfortable. It was a perfect example of how weddings should be personal, meaningful, and—above all—yours.
At the heart of everything I do is the belief that you have the final say. Whether it’s honoring family traditions or creating something entirely new, I promise that there will be no surprises unless you specifically plan for them. My job is to listen to what you want and bring that vision to life without any outside pressure or changes. Your wedding day should be about you, and that’s what I’m here to ensure.
I’m ordained through AMM.org and have been performing wedding ceremonies since 2014. Whether it’s a traditional ceremony, a secular vow exchange, a spiritual union, or an interfaith celebration, I’ll work with you to craft a ceremony that reflects your beliefs, values, and unique love story.
